Fallout 3 is per se a rather nice RPG. OK, it's not cutting edge and the gameplay could be better, but it still looks OK and provides a good amount of fun. The only problem is it's supposed to be a Fallout game. And for that, it lacks the freedom, the humor, the politically incorrect tone of Fallout 2. Sure, you can be a bad guy or a good guy. But it feels limited... Also, the dialogues are too limited. The influence of your stats is minimal. You can create a complete idiot, dialogues wont really change (not as extremely as in Fallout2, heh, "Stupid One"). And you cant be a pornstar... Thats a tragedy in itself compared to Fallout 2, no?
So, all in all a decent RPG, once you forget this is the sequel to Fallout 2.
